Duties and Responsibilities

 

Recruitment (Organika HQ)

  • Own and lead the full recruitment cycle for head office positions: develop position profiles, source qualified applicants, screen applicants, coordinate scheduling, conduct interviews and reference checks and evaluate applicant qualifications
  • Proactively build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by utilizing impactful sourcing methods and avenues
  • Manage the employee preboarding journey through the use of an applicant tracking database, documenting all recruiting activities and touchpoints
  • Prepare employment offers
  • Identify organizational needs, create and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top talent – both passive and active
  • Provide insights from interviews and candidates on how to improve employer branding, benefits, culture etc.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive experience for all applicants
  • Staying up to date with recruitment best practices and relevant market trends
  • Lead on-boarding sessions with new hires
  • Partner with hiring managers in coordinating and executing the on-boarding process
  • Conduct “first month check-ins” and subsequent stay interviews with new hires

Learning & Development

  • Assess and identify development opportunities and recommend training needs of for the leadership group
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions with third party vendors, or lead training sessions based on needs
  • Schedule and coordinate employee Lunch & Learns, wellness initiatives (yoga, chiropractor, counselor) that encourage a healthy and wholesome lifestyle

Employer Branding and Culture

  • Enhance Organika’s employer brand in and outside of the organization across various channels;
    o Within: departmentally, organizationally
    o Outside: LinkedIn, glass door, google, indeed.
  • Develop and implement overall employer branding strategy by creating timelines and establishing and monitoring success measures
  • Lead various cultural initiatives by planning and executing high impact employee events and programs that reinforce organizational values

Payroll

  • Prepares hour summary for bi-weekly payroll submissions while ensuring proper documentation is met for all absenteeism and adjustments.
  • Manages personal/sick days tracker.
  • Prepares payroll setup for new hires, salary increases notices for all employees and ROE requests for terminated employees.
  • Handles all payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner
    HR Projects
  • Support the planning and execution of various HR initiatives such as development programs, employee surveys and performance reviews
  • Ensure a positive and cohesive interview process for candidates by coaching hiring managers on interview structures and techniques
  • Other HR projects as assigned

Required Skills and Training

  • Passion for cultivating a high impact culture
  • Champions a health and wholesome lifestyle
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources and/or CPHR
  • Minimum of 2 years’ HR experience in a high growth, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record with recruitment via multiple networking platforms
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize workflow
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and meet hard deadlines
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
