Human Resources Administrator

Full-Time | Richmond, BC

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Human Resources Administrator supports the Human Resources Manager in full cycle recruitment as well as payroll and benefits administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Actively demonstrates mission, vision and values to all levels of the organization.
  • Administers and performs administrative functions to support the HR Manager
  • Prepares, updates and maintains various HR records including employee records, training records, organizational charts, reports, presentations, etc.
  • Under the direction of the HR Manager, prepares, coordinates and maintains performance management, annual performance reviews, and recognition programs.
  • Handles all WCB and WSIB claims in a timely manner
  • Provides reception relief during lunch and end of day

Full Cycle Recruitment

  • Manages full cycle recruitment in developing and updating job postings, sourcing of candidates, conducting interviews as well as reference checks and assisting hiring managers, as needed.
  • Manages temporary workers through timesheet approvals, performance evaluation and makes recommendations and provides feedback to management
  • Facilitates the speedy integration of onboarding new employees into the Company by conducting new employee orientations, office tour, and introducing Organika culture and values.
  • Provides job fair coordination and attends job fairs throughout the year.
  • Communicates to all candidates the status of the application in a timely manner

Benefits Administration

  • Administers employee benefits program through member enrolments, changes and terminations in a timely manner.
  • Administers mandatory employee Fair Pharmacare registration prior to benefit enrolments.
  • Handles employee inquiries via email, phone of in-person regarding our benefits program or benefits claims in a timely manner.


  • Prepares accurate hour summary for bi-weekly payroll submissions while ensuring proper documentation is met for all absenteeism and adjustments.
  • Manages the banked hours and personal days tracker while ensuring accurate entries.
  • Prepares payroll setup for new hires, salary increases notices for all employees and ROE requests for terminated employees.
  • Handles all payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner


  • Collaboratively organizes various corporate events throughout the year.
  • Supports, coordinate and implements employee relations programs that appropriately support employee recognition, wellness, socialization, team-building and camaraderie among employees; coordinate staff events in conjunction with different departments.
  • Performs other HR projects or programs as required.

Required Skills and Training

  • Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development or related program of study – Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation preferred or working towards one
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in HR required.
  • Excellent understanding of human resources management practices and sound knowledge of government legislation related to employment standards within BC.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Demonstrated skills in recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office applications with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated substantial initiative to accomplish tasks.
  • Experience with event planning and interest in health is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or natural health products industry is an asset.
