Sales Representative – GTA West

Full-Time | Greater Toronto Area, ON

Primary Purpose of Position:

Organika is a rapidly growing natural health solution provider and is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for the GTA West to support with its expansive growth plans. As part of the Canadian Sales team, the Sales Representative will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategies for an existing group of key retail customers and the penetration of new business. The Sales Representative will be measured on their ability to deliver short-term and long-term sustainable profit and volume growth for Organika while delivering against the specific needs of their customers. You will maintain and grow our business relationship with natural health product accounts by enhancing credibility, developing trust and providing outstanding service and results. You are accountable for the tracking and performance of your accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides extensive customer contact via store visits, phone calls and email.
  • Educates the store representatives and provides product knowledge by conducting and/or participating in sales promotion and educational meetings.
  • Arranges, coordinates and conducts customer demonstrations at client locations.
  • Coordinates new product introductions with distributor representatives and key accounts.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Present and promote Organika product line and new innovation to existing and new customers by responding to customer-initiated redesigns and reformulations, and introduce new product innovations
  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule; meets with decision makers and forms relationships as trusted advisor.
  • Gathers competitive marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. and makes recommendations accordingly.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Supports and achieves sales strategies, forecasts, budgets and goals for the assigned territory in conjunction with the National Sales Manager.
  • Participates in trade shows/table top shows and consumer shows as directed by management.
  • Other assigned duties, as required

 

Required Skills and Training

  • Minimum three years experienced in sales of supplements, natural health product or natural / organic food
  • University degree or college diploma in business or health science.
  • Experienced in product listings with key accounts and independent health food outlets
  • Demonstrated record of success with exceptional leadership and relationship building.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to effectively execute sales, training and marketing plans.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate in a professional manner.
  • Must have car and be able to travel
