Organika®’s state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated staff ensure premium quality in every one of our products.
Advanced analytical testing methods are used to analyze the exact content and quality of raw ingredients. Our facilities have been site-license approved by Health Canada in accordance with the Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards of operation. As a GMP site-licensed facility by Health Canada, Organika®’s manufacturing and packaging operations follow strict quality regulations. Organika® has also received the prestigious internationally-recognized ISO 9001 Certification for our Quality Management Principles. The Quality Assurance team and our highly-trained production staff ensure our facilities maintain hygienic, pest-free conditions through rigorous cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Every batch of capsules and tablets is sent for third-party testing and visually inspected for defects before advancing to packaging. Production operators receive regular training to improve their performance while working with our state-of-the-art machinery.
With an efficient and meticulous production method, we are able to provide a diverse line of over 600 NPN (Natural Product Number) licensed natural health products.
Our dedicated purchasing team sources the highest-quality raw materials from around the world. We seek to source from the country the raw material is native to and we audit our suppliers every year. We also source products that are free of contaminants, which is further confirmed by meeting rigorous testing standards. This is supported by our facilities that adhere to the highest standards of quality control and assurance. All the raw materials are then brought back to our own facility in Richmond, British Columbia, for processing, testing, packaging and labelling.
How do we guarantee our products are pure, clean and potent? All of our products go through a number of tests before they arrive at our facility as well as throughout our entire manufacturing process. We ensure quality by testing at third-party Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certified and ISO 17025 recognized laboratories.
This gives us an unbiased third-party verification of our quality. We also adhere to cGMP standards for manufacturing and ISO 9001 certification for quality product management. We are also one of the few natural health manufacturers that has its facility designated as organic-certified.
Our in-house production allows us to streamline the manufacturing process so that products can be made ready faster, with higher quality, and allowing us to reach economies of scale. Our process includes thoroughly analyzing the potency of incoming raw materials and quality of packaging supplies. In-process inspections include verification of sample specifications and complying with equipment operation limits. Before each product is released for sale to consumers, it is checked for all applicable testing parameters set by Health Canada.
Our newly-opened operation in Scarborough, Ontario, ensures that our retail partners continue to get faster shipping along with the 98 percent fill rates they have come to expect.
- High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filter ensures that air flowing into the building is as pure as can be.
- A dust collector ensures that powders in manufacturing are pulled out from each individual room as a preventative measure to avoid cross-contamination during production.
- Each room in our manufacturing facilities houses an individual duct to the dust collector.
- High volume, automated processes provide service five days a week, 16 hours a day.
Organika® was the first health supplement company in Canada to receive the globally-recognized International Standards of Organization (ISO) 9001 Certification and is among the few Canadian health companies currently awarded this certification.
Facility operations follow the Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) site-licensed compliance certification requirements by Health Canada which also mandates independent audit inspections.
We undergo random testing as a member of the True Label Program and we submit all new proposed products to the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate, the regulating authority of Health Canada that issues all NPN information.
We thoroughly analyse the potency of incoming raw materials and the quality of packaging supplies. In-process inspections include verification of sample specifications and compliance of equipment operation limits. We also provide every staff member with regular training to ensure they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) while operating our state-of-the-art equipment. Before each product is released to consumers, Organika® conducts tests set out by Health Canada. Our product labels are periodically updated to reflect changing information and Health Canada requirements to further ensure efficacy and safety.
As one of the few health manufacturers with a GMP, ISO9001 and Organic Certified Facility, we ensure all quality systems are practiced and followed throughout every phase of production.
These certifications ensure our operations have implemented stringent production systems that conform to established quality standards. We regularly undergo audits from our certifying bodies to ensure standards are not only met, but also exceeded.
Organic Certified Facility
Organika’s facility undergoes testing, detection methods, inspection and audits in order to verify our organic certification. We operate under Canadian Organic Standards to protect the natural health market against false claims and to assist customers in making informed health choices.
A Proud Canadian Company
From the beginning, we have been a family-owned and operated Canadian company, positively impacting the health of people around the world.
We are one of the Canadian leaders in Natural Product Numbers (NPN) with over 600 NPN licensed products. An NPN is an eight-digit Natural Product Number used to approve various health claims by Health Canada to ensure the product is safe, effective and of high quality.
ISO 9001 Certified Company
Organika follows a stringent set of organizational procedures required by the International Organization for Standardization. This certification is recognized worldwide and prescribes a standard that meets the needs and expectations of every customer. We uphold the Eight Quality Management Principles of ISO 9001 Certification including customer focus, leadership, continual improvement, and mutually beneficial supplier relations.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification maximizes the safety and efficacy of the natural health products Organika manufactures and distributes. We are regularly inspected on premises, equipment, sanitation, raw materials, packaging materials and finished products. As a team, every branch of Organika is committed to the high standards of quality control and quality assurance that GMP incorporates. Products are only released after all applicable testing has been confirmed.
Health Products Stewardship Association
The Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) was formed to respond to government and environmental issues relating to the collection and safe disposal of unused or expired health products returned by the public in provinces having regulations requiring industry stewardship programs.

- We study scientific and medical journals and gather evidence from herbal and naturopathic literature.
- We explore Ayurvedic, traditional and herbal remedies descended from a variety of healing and cultural practices.
- Our research team consists of doctors, medical researchers and natural health scientists who gather information on the source of raw materials, dosage limits, efficacy, mode of action, safety, side effects, allergy response, contraindications, effects on long-term use and interactions with other medications.
Through this research and exploration, we’ve been able to develop premium formulas and products that work without compromising quality, purity or potency. As medical knowledge of natural products has evolved and advanced, we’ve shaped the world’s latest scientific discoveries into innovative health opportunities.
