Bitter Melon for Blood Sugar Control

Bitter melon is a good source of vitamin C, vitamin A and folate, but it is an excellent source of many phytochemicals, particularly those that help with metabolic regulation. The fruit contains at least three active substances with anti-diabetic properties, including charantin, vicine and polypeptide-p.

Q: What is chelated chromium and why is this version best?
A: Chromium, like many minerals, can be challenging to absorb into the body. When minerals are ‘chelated’ (bound to amino acids to make complexes), they are much easier to absorb. Our chromium is chelated with the amino acids in hydrolyzed vegetable protein to ensure more benefits reach your insides.

Q: Some blood sugar regulators cause frequent urination. Does your product?
A: No! As neither bitter melon nor chromium have diuretic effects, Blood Sugar Control will not cause frequent urination.

Q: Can I take too much Blood Sugar Control or for too long?
A: Yes. If your blood sugar is already low, this product is not for you. Lowering your blood sugar more could contribute to hypoglycemia. As well, if you are already on blood sugar management or diabetic medications, this may also be too much for you. Consult your healthcare provider if you have diabetes before taking this product.

Q: I hear that chromium and bitter melon are also useful for cardiovascular health. How does this work?
A: Bitter melon has been shown to decrease inflammation, a factor in cardiovascular disease. Chromium helps to keep cholesterol levels in check. So not only can Blood Sugar Control be helpful for diabetics, it can help with other symptoms of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease.

Q: I’ve heard that bitter melon can help get rid of skin tags. How does this work?
