Organika's® Digest Relief™ Ginger with Activated Charcoal is formulated with 25mg of Ginger 20:1 Extract and contains 250mg of Activated Charcoal for quick and effective relief of digestive upset, including lack of appetite, nausea, digestive spasms, and indigestion.

Ginger has a very long history of use in various forms of traditional and alternative medicine to aid digestion, reduce nausea, and help fight the flu and common cold. Gingerol, the main bioactive compound in ginger, is responsible for much of ginger’s medicinal properties and has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, according to research.* Chronic indigestion is characterized by recurrent pain and discomfort in the upper part of the stomach. Ginger helps to speed up emptying of the stomach, which can be beneficial for people with indigestion and related stomach discomfort.

Activated Charcoal has traditionally been used as an acute remedy for indigestion, flatulence or venous congestion. Organika's Activated Charcoal is uniquely treated with oxygen in a process called “activation”. This expands the charcoal’s pore size, greatly increasing the surface area of the carbon particles. MEDICINAL INGREDIENT — EACH VEGETARIAN CAPSULE CONTAINS:

Ginger 20:1 Extract (Zingiber officinale, rhizome) 25 mg (Equivalent to 500 mg dried ginger rhizome powder).

NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: 

Activated Charcoal, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate (Non-GMO Vegetable Source), Hypromellose (Vegetarian Capsule).

RECOMMENDED DOSE — (ORAL) ADULTS ONLY: Take 1 to 6 capsules per day.

Q: How long do you suggest to take away from medications or other supplements?
A: Taking it one or two hours apart from all foods, supplements and medications ensures that the charcoal binds to toxins rather than food or medication / supplements.

Q: Why would I take this activated charcoal or your homeopathic one? (vise versa)
A: Digest Relief (supplemental dose) is used for acute conditions to get immediate relief, while our Activated Charcoal (Homeopathic preparation) is used in accordance to homeopathic consultation. A homeopathic dose is significantly small (micro dose) and designed to provide an ongoing  digestive support. 

Q: I notice a suggested serving of 1-6, that’s quite the range what are the side effects of taking 6?
A: We recommend that you start with the lowest dose and increase intake if necessary. As per Health Canada there is no side effects associated with ingesting activated charcoal, however, we acknowledge that some individuals may be more sensitive. Please consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
